Your Emergency Contact

If you have ever been employed by a company, in the midst of completing all the required forms, you have to give the name and number of your emergency contact.

My emergency contacts have been my mother and sister. Once my son became an adult, I added him to the list. Never did I imagine that either of them would be called.

During my crisis, my son arrived to the hospital first and called others. Shortly after, my mother, sister, cousin, aunt, and several friends showed up.

Having a name and number to record is a blessing, but when you have a tribe to show up, it leaves you speechless.

I have learned over the years that love is an action word. It involves pausing your life to care for another.

Just a little something to think about the next time you are completing your emergency contact list.

New Beginnings

My Thoughts

Happy New Year!

After you say goodbye to 2021, leave it all in the past; the good, bad, and ugly. Do not bring along a single thing. You have learned the lessons, now, continue to grow.

We all need something to look forward to; something that will motivate us. So, make some time in your busy schedules to sit in a quiet spot and write down your goals for 2022. If nothing comes to mind, create a vision board. I have a vision book. Smile.

This year, I have decided to allow the Spirit within me to guide my steps. This will be a great challenge for me because I think I know what is best for me. I pray and ask God for guidance, but before receiving all the details, I take off running. With total surrender, I have to take me out of the equation until I am fully informed. Sounds simple.

The Spirit wants nothing more than to give me the desires of my heart while fulfilling my purpose. So, this year, my plan is to take the passenger seat.

I am excited about my journey through this new year. My year of total surrender.

Thriving

I make a daily decision to stay grateful and positively focused on solutions despite the circumstances.

I am a two-time breast cancer thriver because of the grace of God. He has me here for a purpose; to spread love and care for his people.

I listen to my doctors, take my medications, eat healthy, and exercise.

I may have the occasional pity party, but after a few minutes, God reminds me of my strength and purpose.

We all have our trials. But remember to pursue what makes you thrive. Be blessed!

Get Back Up

Today, my son reminded me that it’s time to get back up. This photo represents the Tammi I know and miss.

Life can throw you hard balls and knock you to your knees, but don’t stay down. Dry your tears, wipe the dust off, and fight back.

There is so much more that I want to see and accomplish. I know God has much more work for me to do. I can feel it in my spirit.

So, it is time for me to get back to being the woman God created me to be. It’s time to get back to Tammi.

Beach Life

I feel like me, again. I am thankful that God allowed me an opportunity to live near the beach.

I had to come out early to beat the crowd. I am enjoying every minute after being in isolation.

I am also loving my new hair!!

Take some time to enjoy the beauty of God.

Lemonade

My new lemonade (ginger, turmeric, lemons, and a touch of honey if you like). Ginger and turmeric are known to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and support immune function.

I am still in the healing process. Praise God! Diet is very important for me as I continue this journey. I have been reading the Plant Paradox cookbook to help me with more healthy choices.
As I continue to learn about different ways to heal the mind, body, and soul, I am praying for consistency because I do not want to return to any bad eating habits.

Visioneering

Never allow fear to steal your dreams!

Time in isolation has reminded me of how I let fear step in and deter me from a vision. Now, I am using this time wisely to develop my vision. Caring for those in need of a personal timeout. Stay tuned.

Surviving Breast Cancer

I am a child of the most high God. By his stripes, I am healed. I am going through the process.

I fight for my aunts who lost their battles. I fight to show my strength. I fight to bring awareness. I fight for my loving son.
